अर्जुनविषादयोगः हृषीकेशं तदा वाक्यमिदमाह महीपते |
अर्जुन उवाच |
सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये रथं स्थापय मेऽच्युत ||१-२१|| Hrushikesham tada vakyam idamaah mahi pate
Arujuna uvacha
Senayor ubhayor madhye ratham sthapaya me chyuta
O King, Arjuna then spoke to Hrushikesha these words Achyuta, please draw my chariot between the two armies
यावदेतान्निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान् |
कैर्मया सह योद्धव्यमस्मिन् रणसमुद्यमे ||१-२२|| Yavadetaa niriksheham yoddhu kaman avasthitan kair maya saha yoddhavyam asmin rana samudyame Let me see who is present here, who is desirous of fighting, and with whom I must contend in this great battle attempt. योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागताः |
धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षवः ||१-२३|| Yotsya maanaana veksheham ya ete tra samagatah dhaartarastrasya durbuddhe yuddhe priyachi kirshavah Let me see those who have come here to fight, wishing to please the evil-minded son of Dhrtarashtra सञ्जय उवाच |
एवमुक्तो हृषीकेशो गुडाकेशेन भारत | सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये स्थापयित्वा रथोत्तमम् ||१-२४|| Sanjaya Uvacha Eva Mukto Hrushikesho gudaa keshena bharata Senayoru bhayor madhye sthabayitva ratho ttamam Sanjaya said Being thus addressed by Arjuna Lord Krishna drew up the chariot in the midst of the armies of both parties भीष्मद्रोणप्रमुखतः सर्वेषां च महीक्षिताम् |
उवाच पार्थ पश्यैतान्समवेतान्कुरूनिति ||१-२५|| Bheeshma Drona pramukatah sarvesham cha maheekshitam Uvacha partha pashyeytaan samavetan kuruniti In the presence of Bhisma, Drona and all other prominent people, The Lord said, Just behold, Partha, all the Kurus who are assembled here |
